Another Rough Day in Silky Land

These pictures were captured before the cruelty of the crate was enacted.
(Previous she was able to sleep the days and night away in her bed! Mommy and Daddy's that is.)

Does she look a little disgruntled at being awakened from a Deep Silky Sleep?

My Little Lilac Racer

Last week Steve and I went on vacation in Brainerd, MN. Once our friends came up on Friday we went to Pirates Cove Mini Golf and Go-Cart park.

All I have to say is that Go-Carts Rock! Although Steve managed to pass me almost immediately in order to compete with Mike to see who would come in first! Figures!

Ren Fest

Yesterday Steve and I went to the renaissance festival with a bunch of friends. It was a great time, other than all the mud and rain!

We left our place at about 11:30 and headed out in a drizzle. We got about 15 minutes down the road and it started to really come down.

Now, most people would turn the car around and head back home as the Fest is all outdoors, and you park in a field and walk in.

Not us! We keep on driving. When we got there some of our group was waiting for us in the field. Luckily they had extra umbrellas for Steve and Brenden! (Good job Dan And Tristan)

We all complain about the rain and look depressingly at the mud at this point. But does anyone even suggest that this may not be such a good idea? NOooo..

So we trudge our way in to meet up with the other idiots already inside.

All in all it was still a good time, the shows were good, Puke and Snot, and the Tortuga Twins are what we saw.

The food was good, I had a BBQ Pork sandwich, and deepfried cheese curds later. Steve had a Chicken Fajita, a sausage pizza, and cheesecake on a stick. I think he liked the cheesecake the best. It was vanilla cheesecake dipped in chocolate that they then crammed on a stick. It was kinda funny as I had been talking about having cheesecake, and there the booth was. Steve saw the choco dipped one and decided he had to have it, I passed but it then prompted Dan P. and Brenden to also have the same thing.

We ended up covered in mud as the trails there are dirt. It was really kinda treacherous to walk around as the mud was kinda thick and deep in places!

We made it thru ok and only had to sacrifice a pair of old sneakers to the cause!

Oh well, better weather next time!

Pippen the Vicious Terrier

I know that Steve already posted about the beach ball, but I made a video of it. I find it amusing, although I always forget that our digital camera has a microphone on it. I usually end up talking really loud, and annoying like.

Oh well, enjoy!
