RHIT Certification

Okay, so I am way behind on posting and this is also old news.

On April 3, 2006 I Linzy Lee Eck passed the AHIMA (American Health Information Management Association) RHIT (Registered Health Information Technician) certification exam.

WOO HOO!

It is an exam that tests you in all competencies of the 2 year degree that you earned.

I was very worried that I would not be able to sit for the duration of the exam. There is a 30 minute tutorial, and then you are given 3.5 hours to complete 150 questions, of which only 130 are scored.

I know that doesn't seem like that many questions. But when many of them are paragraph upon paragraph it adds up.

It took me 2.5 hours to finish and my back was really bothering me in the end. I was so worried about not finishing that I just plugged along with no break until I was done.

Thank goodness it is over with and I passed!!!
